The
steamer Ide was built in Dösebacka in Sweden.
and was launched in 1900. She was sold to a new owner in
Kristiania in Norway in 1909. She survived two world
wars and sailed in the Home fleet during second world
war. In 1949 she was rebuilt to a motor vessel and under
a journey from Oslo to Mandal loaded with general goods
she ran aground and sank at Grønholmen light 8.September
1956. The wreck rest today on a depth of 55 to 60 meter
at Kattholmen.
