Kveite was built with a hull of wood in Sweden in 1943 for the Norwegian company Norsk Frostfilet AS. She changed owners in the fishing industry several times before she sank in Sunndalsøra harbor 2.June 1972, then with the name Beton. Rumors from local divers say that the wreck rest today on a depth of approx 26 to 32 meter at Hammerkaia pier on the west side of the harbor.
