Bjønn

The
steamer Bjønn went down in the deep 9. December 1941 in
Hustadvika under a voyage from Trondheim to Danzig
loaded with iron ore. She was attacked by British
airplanes outside Askvågen and was put on fire. The crew
abandoned ship, and she drifted ashore out of control at
Kobberaua in Hustadvika. After second world war the
wreck was blown up and scrapped in situl. The remains of
her rest today spread out over a large area northwest of
Kobberaua on a depth of approx 10 to 15 meter.
