V-5703 Felix Scheder

Felix
Scheder was built in Oslo as a whaler and was launched
in 1941. Kriegsmarine had dire need for suchvessels and
she was soon requisitioned and put in service as a guard
boat. She was equipped with depth charges and two
cannons and renamed V-5703. Under an Allied air attack 12.
September 1944
she was spotted by the planes and attacked several times
in Åramsundet. She went down after several hits and 22
men of her crew lost their lives. The
wreck of V-5703 was found by divers in 1985 and rest
today on a depth of 12 to 30 meter.
