Under the second world war she did service for the German Kriegsmarine and was armed with antiaircraft weapons. She went down 23.February 1944 west of Haugesund under a journey from Thamshaven to Emden after she struck ground on Trollholmen northwest of Vibrandsøy. She was still afloat after the accident, but an hour after the accident she started to sink.  The wreck rest today on  a depth of 37 to 52 meter west of Trollholmen between Vibrandsøy and Osnesgavlen.
