Reko Thor

Oksø
was built in Kristiansand in Norway and was launched in
1899 for Statens
Fyrvæsen. She was rebuilt in 1909 and had a slight
increase in her tonnage. She changed names and owners
several times, before she ended up sailing for Reko
Shipping AS in 1976 under the name Reko Thor. She went
down in the deep after her cargo shifted outside
Visnestangen in Randaberg 24.June 1976 under a journey
from Grimstad to Bergen loaded with wood. Two men from the
crew lost their lives in the accident. The wreck rest on a
depth of 32 to 38 meter northwest of Visnestangen.
