Fyresdølen was built in Kristiansand in Norway in 1913, meant as a ferry for the local passenger traffic on lake Fyresvatn. She did service here until roads were constructed in the early 1950. She was then considered obsolete and was laid up. Due to lack of maintenance she sank in the winter 1952 -1953 right outside Kilegrend pier. The wreck of her rest today on a depth of 3 to 12 meter at Sundsli, her shallow parts sometimes visible from the surface.
