Bernhard
was built in Rotterdam in Holland in 1943, and entered
service the year after in the German
Tranportflotte Speer . According to historical
documents, she was also used by Luftwaffe. After the war
she was handed over to the Norwegian government, and
later bought by Bjarne Halvorsen in Trondheim and
renamed to Rensholm. She
changed owner two times more before she went down
under a journey from Mosjøen to Drammen with a cargo
of timber. She hit ground on Napabåen
12.January 1961 in heavy fog and literally broke in two
parts. The wreck rest today on a depth of approx 10 to 16
meter at Napaboen outside Nevlunghavn.
