The
Norwegian steamer Scott was built in 1897 for J.A.Larsen
in Skien, and disappeared in the deep barely two years
after she was launched. She
ran aground on Finnebåene in the Langesundfjord 24.March 1899
under strong winds from south and heavy snow. She was
slowly broken down by heavy waves after the grounding, and
some of her inventory and other wreck debris was salvaged
from later. Today its very little left of the wreck, and
the few remains of her rest on a depth of 16 to 25 at the
southern side of Finnebåene.
