Heinkel HE 115

Heinkel HE 115 was a three man German Luftwaffe airplane used extensively during second world war. The plane was introduced in 1939 and saw action in most theaters in the war. At Illsvikøra in the Trondheimsfjord, the remains of three Heinkel  115 planes rest in the deep. It is believed they were sunk under an Allied air raid against the German uboat pen "Dora" 1 in 1943. The remains rest today on a depth of approx 38 to 42 meter.
