M 101


The German Kriegsmarine's Minensuchboot 101 was built by Rickmers Werft in Wesermünde and was launched in 1941. She was commissioned a few months later, and in March 1941 assigned to 4.Minensuchflottille. The year after she collided with the steamer Levante 25.November 1942 at Marflesa lighthouse west of Brandsøya, and disappeared in the deep. Thirteen men of the crew perished in the accident. For years people was trying to locate the wreck, including the SFT / Norwegian environmental department, and in 2019 she was finally located. Not long after, divers from Draugen dive club in Trondheim inspected the wreck on a depth of approx 70 to 80 meter.
