KNM Ogna - M 315

Trøndelag, Norway

The Norwegian M-315 was built by Westermoen Båtbyggeri & Mekaniske Verksted AS in Mandal, and was launched in 1955 as a Saude class minesweeper for the Norwegian Royal Navy. She was delivered March the same year, and had a straightforward career with no notable events. After decades of service she was stricken from the Navy lists in April 1979, and sold for scrapping and laid up at Hoddøya. While at anchor she sank in the late 1990's. Today the wreck rest on her keel on a depth of 3 to 20 meter close to shore in Håkilen at Hoddøya.
