Fredrikshald
3 was a coastal steamer laid down by Fredrikstad Mekaniske
Verksted in Norway, and was launched in August 1900. She
was completed and delivered to the company Fredrikshalds
Dampskibsselskab three months later. She changed owners
and names a couple of times during her career, and had a
diesel engine installed in 1961, and she sailed for Mr.
Solheim in Arendal as Mosvik from 1981. Under a journey
from Borge to Darsun loaded with constriction blocks and
gravel, her cargo shifted and she sank about 1,5
nautical miles south of Ryvingen light. According to
reports from local divers, the battered remains of her
rest today in shallow waters.
