Turist
was laid down by Saanum & Compagnie in Mandal, and was
launched in September 1917. Two years after launch she was
involved in an accident but was re-floated and sold. In
1921 she was sold to Samuelsson family in Sweden and
renamed Emmy. Under a journey from Menstad to Sweden
loaded with saltpeter 21.October 1960. The wreck was found
by divers in the 1980s, and today its very little left of
the hull that was built of wood. The remains of her rest
on a depth of approx 24 meter at Lynholmhausen south of
Verdens Ende.
