The rescue and salvage steamer Neptun ran aground on Flatskjær 5.November 1921. She was on a journey from Moss to Færder to help a ship in distress when she accidentally hit ground. Some equipment were salvaged, but thereafter the ship was abandoned and forgotten until 1994. By searching in archives and historical documents, divers manage to locate her remains at Flatskjær. The hull which was built in wood is long gone, but the engine and other parts rest on a depth of 12 to 15 meter.
