Florvåg

The
combined passenger and car ferry Gabense was built by Rødby
Havns Jernskibsbyggeri in Denmark, and was launched in
1919 for the company Dambskipbselskabet
Rødby Havn AS. She was sold to the Norwegian company Askøy
Bilferjeselskap in January 1939 and renamed to Florvåg.
She
went down outside Gravdal in the Byfjord 6.August 1941
under a journey from Bergen to Askøy. The wreck of
Florvåg is according to rumors from divers been found near
Gravdal in shallow waters.
