Inger Seks

Wascana
was built in Middlesbrough in England, and
was launched in 1913. She survived first world war, and
ended up in Norwegians hands as Inger Seks with Bergen
as port of registry. After the German invasion of Norway
in 1940, she was requisitioned by Kriegsmarine and
sailed under German flag. She hit ground in the
Instefjord 22.April 1945and was spotted and attacked by
British airplanes the following day. It's been
said that she was burning for several days after the
attack before she disappeared in the deep. The
wreck rest today on a depth of 26 to 70 meter southeast of
Kjevika.
