Laforey
was a steam trawler built by John Lewis & Sons in
Aberdeen in Scotland, and was launched in 1949 for the
British company Grimsby Trawlers Ltd. Under fishing
outside Florø she hit groundat night at Sendigane
8.February 1954 under heavy seas. The day after a rescue
vessel was sent out but no signs of the crew could be
found. Soon after she capsized and went down in the deep.
She was then forgotten until divers re.located the wreck
in the late 2000s. The wreck rest today upside-down on a
depth of 35 meter west of Batalden.
