Soknatind
was built as a general cargo ship by Stoznia Gdanska SA in
Poland, and was launched in 1972 for the Norwegian company
Stoneship AS. She was the year after transferred to Meling
Rederi in Egersund. Under a journey from Glomfjord to Oslo
loaded with fertilizer she hit ground and sank at Blåna
outside Stavenes 15.October 1975. The broken remains of
her rest today broken in three parts on a depth of
approximately 15 meter north of Blåna.
