The
steamer Dølen was a tug boat laid down at Fredrikstad
Mekaniske Verksted, and was launched in 1909. She did
service with towing timber and dredging on lake Mjøsa
until the early 1960's. In 1962 she was taken out of
service and laid up near Minnesund. Six years later, in
April 1968, she sprung and sank in shallow water. The
wreck rest today on her keel on a depth of 5 to 15 meter
north of Fremmingøya.
