Gykdenløve I

Gyldenløve
was built at Drammen Jernstøberi & Mekaniske Verksted,
and was launched in 1907. She stood ready for service in
March the same year and was delivered to the owner Joseph
Johansen in Drammen. She sailed in regular route between
the cities of Drammen and Kristiania. Under a journey to
Drammen she collided with M/V
Tijuca and sank outside Fagerstrand 16. November
1950. According to technical divers in the mid
2000's the wreck rest on a depth of 55 to 70 meter
southwest of Langøra fog bell. Also see Lux that also went down near
Fagerstrand in 1927.
