The steamer Høvding was a tugboat built in Christianssands Mekaniske Værksted and launched in 1882 for A.Schinrud in Drammen. She was widely used in the timber industry and local transport of passengers along the Tyrifjord. She capsized and sunk at Vikersund bridge in 1940 or 1950, but was later re-floated and moved to her current location. The wreck rest today standing on her keel as a classic Donald Duck wreck on a depth of 5 meter. The wreck location is approximately hundred meters from shore, right outside the road Strandveien and Dampskip kaia ( steamship pier ) in Vikersund.
