The steamboat
Industri, often called "Nystriden", was built in Gjøvik by
Fredrikstad Mekaniske
Verksted in 1895 for O.E Skattum. Thirteen years later she
was sold to Eidsvold
Dampskipselskab. In 1940 she again got a new owner and was
laid up some years later. She sank in 1956 and today the
wreck stand on her keel as a classic Donald Duck wreck
outside the premises to Mjøssamlingene in Minnevika on a
depth of five meter. Plans to raise the wreck has so far
been halted. The wreck was surveyed by Norwegian Maritime
Museum, but her fate is still yet to be decided.
