Karmøy I

The
steamer Gladian was built by Skebäcks Varv in Örebro in
Sweden, and was launched in 1918. She was sold several
times during her career, and in 1926 she was sold to
Norwegian owners and renamed to Karmøy I. Under a journey
from Fredrikstad to Oslo loaded with stone she collided in
heavy fog with another ship and quickly disappeared in the
deep 1.February 1939. The wreck rest today on a depth of
approximately 130 meter east of Tofteholmen, according to
information from Forum Skagerak.
