Maria Bres

Maria Bres was on a journey from Plymouth in England to Halden in Norway when she 25.November 1974 ran aground near Thorbjørnskjær.  She got stuck on the reef for several weeks, and inventory and parts of the cargo were salvaged. Due to bad weather and high waves she was eventually abandoned, and in the beginning of December she broke in two parts and sank. The wreck, or rather the battered remains of her, rest today on a depth of 30 meter.
