LSM 469 was built for the US Navy by Brown Shipbuilding in
Houston, and was launched in 1945. She was commissioned
that same year, and sailed in various roles in the
Pacific, and was put in the Reserve fleet in August 1946.
In May 1962 she was transferred to the Thai navy and
renamed to HTMS Khramto. After decades of service she was
stricken from the ship lists, and 1.February 2003 she was
scuttled to create an artificial reef outside Pattaya. The
wreck rest today on her keel on a depth of 15 to 28 meter,
approximately three hundred meters east of the island Koh
Phai. Also see the wrecks of her sister ship HTMS Kut and HTMS Mataphon.
