USS Wahoo


USS Wahoo was a Gato class submarine built for the US Navy in 1942. She was put in service in the Pacific in May 1942 and completed six patrols. She is credited with sinking four enemy ships. On her seventh patrol she was attacked by Japanese planes and ships 11.October 1943 and sunk north of Japan. The wreck was found in 2005 and rest today in the La Perouse strait on a depth of 65 meter.
