HMAS Adelaide

The Australian frigate HMAS was laid down by Todd Pacific Shipyard in Seattle in July 1977, and was launched in June the year after. She was commissioned in November 1980, and earned herself two Battle Honors during her career. She did service in both the Middle East and Afghanistan, before she was decommissioned in 2008 to finance new ships in the Navy. She was rigged down and scuttled 13. April 2011 as a dive attraction outside Avoca Beach. The wreck rest today on a depth of 22 to 30 meter, about one nautical mile outside Avoca Beach.
