New South Wales

Bellubera was built as a ferry and passenger ship in New South Wales by Morts Dock & Engineering, and was launched in April 1910. She was called the "Hodoo" ship because of her bad luck and collided with several ships during her career. During work on the ship in 1936 a worker also lost his life. She ended her career in 1973 and was laid up in Sydney. 1.August 1980 she was rigged down and scuttled at Long Reef right outside Sydney. The remains of her rest today in two parts on a depth of 45 to 48 meter.
