Jacques Fraissinet

The steamer Jaques Fraissinet was built at Chantiers de Saint Nazaire and launched in March 1915 for the French company Compagnie de Navigation Fraissinet in Marseille. The company lost many ships in the first world war, and had only ten ships left when the war ended. Jaques continued her service in the Black Sea until 1929. Under a journey from Burghas to Istanbul she hit ground in heavy fog southeast of Burghas 15. February 1929. The wreck was partially salvaged in the 1950s, and the remains rest today on a depth of 18 to 25 meter at Cape Maslen Nos.
