Sulina
was built by Cantieri Riunti dell Adriatico i Monfalcone
and launched in 1939, reputedly for the royal family, and
later confiscated by the government. This is not verified
and official sources state the owner as "Romanian
Government". Little is known about her history before
1942, when she was torpedoed by the Russian submarine A-3
outside Odessa 29.May. Here the wreck still rest today
approx five nautical miles outside Odessa on a depth of 15
to 20 meter.
