Buffalo was laid down at Ardrossan Dockyard & Shipbuilding in Scotland was was launched in 1962. She changed both name and owners several times, before she ended up for an unknown company under the name Container Express in the late 1970's. According to rumors she was abandoned in the early 1990's due to a dispute on a price for repairs, and was later confiscated by the local authorities. She was rigged down and scuttled 12.January 1999 as an artificial reef. The wreck rest today on a depth of 30 to 35 meter right outside Sominicus Beach in Santo Domingo.
