USS Kittywake

Grand Cayman Island,Caribbean

USS Kittywake was built as a submarine rescue vessel for US Navy in 1945, and did service from July 1946 to early 1994 in Caribbean, the Mediterranean, The Atlantic and the Indian Ocean. After decades of service she was deliberately scuttled as an artificial reef outside Cayman Island 5. January 2011. She rest today at Seven Mile Beach,West Bay on a depth of 19 meter.
