Teresa Lo Vico was a two masted barque, but her history is a bit of a mystery. While she laid at anchor outside Martinique in late April 1902 loaded with construction materials, the volcano Mount Peléestarted to get active, and 8. May the volcano erupted in a devastating blast of lava that laid waste to the town of Saint Pierre and killed over 30 000 people. Teresa who laid barely fifty meter from shore outsie Rue d'Orange soon disappeared in the deep with only three survivors from the crew. The remainsof her rest today on a depth of 30 to 40 meter.
