Brunla
was a coastal steamer laid down as yard number 286 at
Akers Mekaniske Verksted in Norway, and was launched in
October 1909 for the company Nordsjøen AS. She changed
owners a couple of times before she sailed as Dagmar
Clausen for Carl Clausen in Denmark. Under a journey from
Gdynia to
Mäntyluoto loaded she hit ground ans sank at Resningarna
south of Mariehamn 9. December 1942. Salvage was done on
the wreck after the accident, and the shallow depth and
time has broken down the wreck. The battered remains rest
today on a depth of 10 to 20 meter.
