EK-7508 Vapper


South of Falsterbro the wreck of the Estonian trawler Ek-7508 Vapper rest on a depth of 7 to 30 meter. EK-7508 was used in the Estonian fishing industry, and was built as a self supplied fishing factory. Rumors also claims that these trawlers under the Soviet iron curtain in the 1970s and 1980s were used as surveillance- and radio ships. 13.October 1993 she was sold to Dubai for scrapping. She was to be towed to India and the Russian company Raff TransFlot was given the task. At night 19.December 1994 the cable broke in high waves and strong winds and she was left to herself.
