The steamship Navigator from Tvedestrand in Norway, went down outside Hirtshals 12.July 1935 under a journey from England to Denmark loaded with coal. Approx four nautical miles outside the coast she developed a leak, capsized and sank. Salvage was done on the wreck later and the remains of her rest today on a depth 20 meters depth west of Hirtshals.
