Oliveira
e Carmo was a Baptista de Andrade class corvette built in
Spain for the Portuguese navy and was launched in February
1974. She was built for service in the colonies but after
the decolonization in the 1970s she was assigned as a
patrol boat. In 1999 she was stricken from the navy lists
and after being rigged down and prepared she was scuttled
as an artificial reef as part of the Ocean Revival Project
in Portimao Park 30.October 2012. After a storm in 2016
she was broken in two and the remains rest today on a
depth of 20 to 32 meter outside Algarve.
