Antares
was laid down at Graham
Osbourne & Co in Sunderland and launched in 1908 for
a Norwegian company. She changed name and owners several
times before she ended up as Paula Faulbaum for the
company Max Faulbaum in 1934. Under a journey from Oskarshamn to Västerås she was
attacked by the Soviet submarine SHCH-323 17.October
1941, but both torpedoes missed the ship. She hit ground
shortly after and sank the next morning. The wreck rest
on the west side of Landsort on a depth of 38 to 73
meter.
