Kyra Eleni

The
steamship Otta was built at Trondhjems Mekaniske Verksted
as yard number 214, and was launched 19. July 1949 for the
company Dampskipselskapet Songa AS in Bergen. She was
later converted to a motor vessel and in 1963 sold to Kyra
Maritime in Greece and renamed Kyra Eleni. Under a journey
from Lavria to Bulgaria in ballast and a crew of twenty
men, she hit ground 6. January 1978 in bad weather and
sank. The wreck rest today on her starboard side on a
depth of 15 to 30 meter southwest of Patroklos Island.
