HMS Nasturtium


HMS Nasturtium was an Acadia class sloop laid down at McMillan & Sons in Dumbarton in Scotland. She was launched in December 1915 for Royal Navy and was rushed to active service due to the Great War. She was sent to Malta where she was assigned duties of mine sweeping and patrolling. In the evening 27. April 1916 she hit a mine outside Valetta and was severely damaged. The crew had to abandon ship and she sank later that same night. The wreck rest today on a depth of 64 to 68 meter east of Valetta.
