Ansaldo San Giorgio I was built in Genoa and launched in 1918 for the Italian company Gio Ansaldo & C. She had a rather typical career as a freighter without many notable events. Only exception was a trial in the USA in 1935 over a dispute of a cargo of berries which had been delivered in a rather poor state. In 1928 she was renamed to Probitas. She was sunk 25.September 1943 under an air raid and rest today on her port side on a depth of approximately 5 to 20 meter at Santa Quaranta south of Sarande.
