Rentaria was built in Glasgow in Scotland, and was launched in 1921 for the Norwegian company Fearnley & Edger AS. In 1934 she was sold to Brodarsko Drustovo Oceania in Yugoslavia and reanmed Vis. Under Second World War, the rumors say, she was used by the Royal Navy in convoys over the Mediterranean but this has not been verified. She survived the war, but under a journey to Yugoslavia loaded with aid material and supplies she hit a mine left over from the war and sank 13. February 1946 outside Plonim. The wreck rest today on a depth of 40 to 60 meter.
