Rentaria
was built in Glasgow in Scotland and launched in 1921 for
the Norwegian company Fearnley & Edger AS. In
1934 she was sold to Brodarsko Drustovo Oceania in
Yugoslavia and got the name Vis. Under second world war
the rumors say she was used by Royal Navy in convoys over
the Mediterranean but this has not been verified. Under a
journey to Yugoslavia loaded with aid material she hit a
mine left over from the war and sank 13.February 1946
outside Plonim. The wreck rest today on a depth of 40 to
60 meter.
