The Maltese ferry Xlendi was sunk as an artificial reef outside Gozo 12.November 1999. She was built in 1955 for Danske Statsbaner ( Danish State railroads ) but was sold several times before she ended in Malta with the name Xlendi.She was used as a local ferry between Valetta and Gozo before she was laid up in the late 1990s. The wreck rest today on a depth of 25 til 42 meter at Xatt-I Ahmar on the south side of the island Gozo.
