Hydro Atlantic


Delaware was a sea going dredger built by Maryland Steel Company, and was launched in 1905 for US Army Corps of Engineers.  She was sold in 1950 to Construction Aggregates Corporation and renamed Sand Captain, and in 1961 she changed hands again after a rebuild and was renamed Ezra Sensibar. In 1968 she was sold to Hydromar Corporation and renamed Hydro Atlantic where she served until 1987. On her way to Texas for scrapping, she sank under tow 7. December 1987 outside the coast of Florida.The wreck rest today standing on her keel on a depth of 40 to 52 meter about one nautical mile outside the Boca Inlet.
