Keystorm was a cargo steamer laid down by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd in England, and was launched in March 1910 for the Canadian company Keystone Transportation Company in Montreal. Under a journey from Ashlabula to Montreal loaded with coal, she hit ground at Scow Island under heavy fog 26. October 1912. It soon became evident that the ship was doomed, and five hours later she sank with her stern first and rolled over before she disappeared in the deep.The cargo was salvaged, but several attempt to re-float the ship proved unsuccessful. The wreck rest today on a depth of 8 to 35 meter in St. Lawrence river at Scow Island Shoal about one nautical mile northwest of Scow Island.
