Not
much is known about this vessel, except its referred to as
the Qualman barge in official documents. It is widely
believed she was used a a dredge prior to her
decommissioning. She was deliberately scuttled as part of
Broward
County Artificial Reef Program 1. July 2000. The
steel hulled wreck rest today on her keel as a classic
Donald Duck wreck on a depth of 15 to 20 meter east of
Fort Lauderdale Beach Park. There are dozens of other
wreck's of scuttled tugs, barges and other small
vessels sunk in this area, stretching from Pompano Beach
on the north and all they way south down to Port
Everglades channel.
