Al Shorouk

Ashkelon F63 was built as a landing ship for the Israeli navy, and was launched in 1967. She was stricken from the Israeli navy list in 1996 and sold to Jordan. In the late 2000's under the name Al Shorouk she was sold to Aqaba Marine Park and scuttled 18.June 2008 to create an artificial reef and dive attration. She sunk on a greater depth than originally planned. and rest today on her starboard side on a depth of 35 to 55 meter at Eel Canyon outside Aqaba.
