Hamburg was a general cargo freighter laid down by Howaldts Werke AG in Germany, and was launched in 1950 for Hamburg Amerikanische Packektfahrt, HAPAG in Hamburg. She was sold and operated by Ahmed Mohamed Baaboud in the 1970's in Saudi Arabian and renamed Blue Belt. Under a journey from Jeddah to Port Sudan loaded with vehicles, trailers and spare parts she hit ground at Sha'b Suedi north of Port Sudan 2. December 1977. Despite several rescue attempts, she disappeared in the deep four days later. The wreck rest today upside down with her cargo scattered out around her on a depth of 20 to 83 meter north of Port Sudan.
