Not
much is known about this vessel, except that she was
bought
by Dave & Steve Harris to assist in salvage work on
the wreck of the old cargo
steamer Papanui who sank in James Bay in September
1911. While she laid at anchor, her moorings broke under a
storm and she was severely damaged. She was deliberately
scuttled as an artificial reef at Long Ledge Island 4.
April 2001, and rest today on her keel on a depth of 9 to
18 meter. Also
see the wrecks of RFA
Darkdale, Frontier,
Papanui,
Portzic
and Spangereid.
